MAURICEVILLE
SEAMAN HONOURED DANCE AND PRESENTATIONS. (“Times-Age” Special.) Last night "in the Mauriceville East Hall, a dance was held in honour of Ordinary Seaman J. Childs, there being a large attendance of residents of the district, who spent an enjoyable time. Mr E. W. Cheetham, on behalf of the residents, and Mr. N. Myers, on behalf of the Tennis Club, made presentations to Mr. Childs, who suitably replied. Mr. George Wilson was M.C., and supper was provided by a ladies’ committee.
A Monte Carlo dance was won by Mrs. M. Stinear and Mr. lan Cameron.
