LOCAL BATHS RECORD BUSINESS. (“Times-Age" Special.) The custodian of the local baths reports that during the holiday period record business was done, the peak being on New Year’s Day. Visitors speak very highly of the condition of the baths which were painted and renovated recently. Personal Items. Mrs H. McKay, of Levin, is spending a holiday with Miss E. Card, “Awahau.” Miss H. Card (Mayoress) left yes-, terday to spend a holiday at Island Bay. Miss A. Foss, Revans Street, is visiting her parents at Levin. Mr and Mrs Zimme, of Wellington, are visiting Featherston. COSY THEATRE “THE DESPERADOES.” An outstanding drama in technicolour. “The Desperadoes,” will be shown tonight. The principal roles are in the hands of Randolph Scott, Claire Trevor, Glen Ford and Evelyn Keyes.
