FIGURES FOR PAST YEAR. SLIGHTLY ABOVE THE AVERAGE. Mr H. M. Boddington reports that rain was measured on 7 days in December, the maximum fall being 1.25 inches on the 4th, the minimum 1 point on the 27th and 31st. The total for the month was 1.70 inches, as against 2./0 inches in 1942; 2.85 in. in 1941; 1.69 in. in 1940; 3.03 in. in 1939, and 4 95in. in 1938. The average for 40 years was 2.96 inches. The total rainfall for the 12 months, 40.85 inches, compared with 42.24 in. in 1942; 43.96 in. in 1941; 36.,11in. in 1940; 29.75 in. in 1939, and 47.33 in. in 1938.
