ACROSS CASPIAN SEA PLANE CARRYING DIPLOMATS TO TEHERAN. WARM TRIBUTE TO RUSSIAN PILOTS. (By Telegraph—Press Association —Copyright) (Received This Day, 12.35 a.m.) TEHERAN, November 17. A snowstorm followed the plane carrying Sir Walter Monckton and his party 200 miles across the Caspiart Sea. The plane won the race by five minutes. Leaving Kuibyshev in thick snow, the plane reached Astrakhan on the first night and Baku on the second night. It was weather-bound at Baku for three days. Sir Walter Monckton paid a warm tribute to the efficiency of the Russian pilots.
