ACTION IN IRAQ
REPRESENTATIVE RECALLED FROM VICHY. BREAK ALSO WITH JAPAN. (By Telegraph—Press Association —Copyright) (Received This Day, 12.35 p.m.) LONDON, November 17. The Iraqui Prime Minister, General Nuri Said, announced that he had instructed Iraq’s representative to return from Vichy because Vichy, after supporting the former regime, had failed to take the logical course when a legitimate regime was established in Iraq. General Nuri Said added that he would ask the Japanese representative to leave Iraq as Japan had financially assisted the Fifth Column and Rashid Ali.
