WAINGAWA COMPETITION JUDGE’S AWARDS. FIRST PRIZE TO MARTINBOROUGH There was a large attendance at the Waingawa Freezing Works this morning for the judging in connection with the district lamb competition. The qual iy of the entries was of a high standard. The judge, Mr T. C. Cornford, Pahiatua, announced his first three placings as follows:-— . lan McHugh (Martinborough) 1 C. and M. Hodgins (Opaki) .... 2 Masterton A. and P. Association 3 Thirty-nine pens out of the 43 entered competed. The sheep will be killed and judged “on the hooks” at the works this afternoon.
