NATIONAL SAVINGS

TWO THOUSAND ACCOUNTS OPERATING AT MASTERTON POST OFFICE. STEADY INCREASE IN GROUP MEMBERSHIP. The latest figures issued by the Masterton Post Office of National Savings investment accounts show that the 2,000 mark was reached on November 14. The next figure aimed at is 2,500. It is anticipated that the drive, now in progress will result in a large number of new accounts being opened at an early date. New group accounts continue to be arranged and a steady increase in the membership of those already in operation is becoming more noticeable each week. In an effort staged by the employees of the W.F.C.A. last week 36 new members were enrolled, bringing the total membership of their group up to 63. This is now, the largest group in the district. Complete figures compiled to November 15 show that 2,016 accounts have been opened in Masterton, including 719 investors who are members of the 58 groups in operation. The latest groups set up are those opened by the employees of Messrs J. Ninnes, J. A. Betts Ltd., and Pickering Bros., Ltd.
