MAGNIFICENT RESPONSE IN BRITAIN. IMPROVEMENT IN DEFENCE POSITION. (Independent Cable Service.) LONDON, May 28. In a speech at Rutherglen today, the Lord Privy Seal, Sir John Anderson, said that the response to national service was magnificent and comparable with that in the early months of the Great War.
