Native Meeting.
A native meeting was to have taken place on Wednesday at Papawai but was postponed until Monday and Tuesday next owing to the death of Mrs Wi Mahupuku. The meeting is a political one, and Messrs Buchanan, Bunny, and Beetbam are to be asked to lay their views before the natives on the occasion. The natives will then, among themselves, talk over the claims of the candidates and come to a decision as to who they shall vote for. The lake question will also be discussed.
