WAIRARAPA RUGBY UNION. A general mooting of tho Union was hold at Carterton on Saturday evening last, Mr P. W. R. Sued in the chair, the following delegates being present : Mastertou—Messrs Whatman and W, Perry ; Red Stars—A. McKaiu and T. Hawke; To Ore Ore—Manihera, Tuhokairaugu; Grey town—C. Board (proxy), W. Tally (proxy), A. Origg ; Carterton— C. Fail-brother, W, G. King, and the Secretary, S 11, Wiekorsou. Union £25 towards tho excuses of their representative team, in the event of them playing a match with the Wairarapa Union.
The Secretary was instructed to write to the Ilawkes Hay, Manawatu, Wanganui, and Wellington Unions with a view of sending a team to theso places during tho season.
-H- L. Ni.x was apixiiuted a member of the Match Committee, vice Mr W. G. King, resigned.
It was decided that the latest, rules in scoring be adopted in Union matches, viz,, Throe flints for a goal and one for a try. When a goal is kicked from a try, the goal only is soured. Among tho now bye-laws added to the Union wore the following That the Captain o.' a team have power to call u|xm a referee to suspend any player for striking another during a match. That no jiersou bo allowed to play for more than one associated Club during a season, in Union matches.
