Gun Club.
The annual general meeting of the members of the Wairarapa Gun Club was held at Hamtuerich’s Hotel, Greytovvo, last Saturday night, Mr W. I C. Buchanan, the President, in the j chair, and there was a good attendance of members. The minutes of the former meeting were read and adopted. The Secretary presented the report and balance sheet. Mr N. Grace proposed and Mr Tailored seconded, that the icport and balance sheet be adopted. Carried It was resolved that itbe an instruc mu to the Secretary to collect all arrears of subscriptions and to see that all liabilities are discharged. The outstanding accounts were passed for payment. The meeting then proceeded to the election of officers for the year ensuing and the result was as follows President W C Bnchanan, M.H.H, Vivti-iWdeat Mr N Grace, Committee, Messrs P F Tancred, W Scale, B H Buckeridge, Thomas Walker, J, Cully, seur , T Grace and A Jones. Mr iJammench was elected treasurer, and Mr C Higgins re elected Secretary. _ On the motion of Mr N Grace!
seconded by P P sum of £5 was voted to the Secretary. It was resolved that the action ol the committee in changing the name of the Club to the “ Wairarapa Gun Club ” be confirmed. On the motion of Mr N Grace seconded by Mr Scale, it was resolved that the financial year of the Club terminate on the 31st March in each year ; it was also resolved that members’ subscriptions be declared due on May Ist in each year. A hearty vote of thanks was passed to the retiring treasurer, Mr B Kim berley, for his efforts in the interests of the club. A cordial vote of thanks was passed to Mr E K Jones for his services as Referee and his appointment renewed. Messrs W E Bidwill, J O Bid will, and C Bidwill were duly elected members of the Club. A vote of thanks to the Chair concluded the proceedings. The committee will meet shortly to arrange a match to be held atAhiakokt by tbo consent of the President.
