From Property Tax Department advising remittance of £375 as Board’s share of subsidy. From same relating to 75 percent of moneys due to the Board on account of Crown Lsnde, &a.

From Mr Coleman Phillips advising the getting of work done on Ward’s Line daring the dry weather and stating that as the engineer had estimated the work to cost about £BO he was willing to contiibute half or would forward a cheque for about £3O as subsidy. Hospital Contributions. Mr Wood's letter was discussed, and it was resolved to reply that the Board has no funds available for the purpose of granting a subscription to the Hospital. Mr Hodge attended to explarn to the Board the necessity of taking some steps to remedy the overflow of water from the road on to a paddock on the Battersea road where the old school house stood. He stated that in wet seasons this spot was usually inundated hy the overflow of water in consequence of r o drain being provided to carry the water down Km mad from this point.

Mr Bidwill said it might be suicidal to remove the platform if there was any ohauca of the river coming that way again. Mr Elgar said it was no good in any case as tho ground in some places was almost level with ilm planking. Mr Bidwill would suggest that it would be better to fence off the platform and make a road parallel.
