(By Lcddebdows) I most compliment the Wairarspa Jockey Clnb at the general satisfaction given to all sporting men in this district by the weights announced. I have not yet the acceptances before me, bat I can safely foretell that they will be good. I shall say t irsiwater for either first or second, supposing they all go, for the Cap, Bocket with the top weight Set 41b, 1 fancy next. For the Telegraph Handicap I shall tip Bocket 9st 101b, or the next top weight, Master Agnes, Bst 91b. Some of the light weights may effect a surprise, bat 1 fancy not, as the distance salts Bocket to a nicety, bat I am anticipating until 1 see the acceptances. For Hurdles 1 would, barring accidents, back Aroha lOst 121b, but Hurdle Baces are always glorious uncertainties. For the Juvenile Handicap, if Minnie Palmer 7tt 101b, runs for ino spun, she I think will wic. The meeting will be well attended by racing men from Canterbury, Otago, and other parts of the colony and the train from Wellington will doubtless bring a good and numerous contingent if the weather itf favorable. The stewards, if the weather continues as dry and as hot as now, should employ some water carts the night before to well saturate the course. It would then render the running excellent.
