Alarm of Fire.
Last night between 10 and 11 o'clock the residents of Main direct, Greytown, were disturbed by an alarm of fire, and soon the bells were Dcgd-g furiously. It appear., that Mrs Jorgensen, who lias charge of Mr Moriarty's boot and shoe warehouswent into tbc shop for something and placed the candle too near the window curtain. This immediately took lire and spread with such rapidity that had it not been for some persons passing wliu quickly brought some buckets of water, the building would have been consumed. Lijond the breaking of the windows, ami saturating the shop with water, tin; damage in Hilling. The Tiro Brigade tamed out with great promptitude, but the hose was not needed.
