Bahed theirs, I think to say the least, themis very nucstiouahle taste and displays a spirit which should not pervade a noble body such as our Volunteer Firemen are supposed iu be. There are many other suitable oooa sions upon which the Masterton firemen could hold their sports, and I think I could answer for the members of out local Brigade that they would have placed themselves to some amount of inconvenience to lend their Master leu coadjutors hearty and cordial help, but 1 tbink these collisions only create an invidious feeling that certainly should be foreign to ail men wearing the uniform of a self-sacrificing saviour of life and property. Surely, Mr Editor, if the matter is placed before our neighbours at Masterton they will view it in the proper light, and not allow their day’s demonstration to clash with that of their brother firemen at this end of the Wat rarapn. 1 am, &0,, i Host and Bijiii,
