The Great Barrier Murder
ARREST OF CAFFERY Sydney, October 5. A man named Joe Adame, Alias Caffrey, has been arrested at Fernmonnt on suspicion of having committed the murder at the Great Earner Islands. A revolver, some cartridges and a piratical flag have been found in his swag. The prisoner at first denied ever having been in New Zealand, but bis appearance exactly answered the description of Caffrey, and be baa since been folly identified. October fi.
The priaoner admits being John Caffrey. He etatee that Penn and Lizzie Graham were drowned by eapeizing of the boat in attempting to land. The statement is doubted, and further search is being made.
The wreckage of the cutter Sovereign of the Seas has been identified. It was washed op on the north beach cf Port Macquarie.
