Waiohine River Board.
This Board met on Tuesday nigbt. Present —Messrs G. Wyett (chairman), H. Udy, sen. and H. Udy. juo. The minutes of the previous meeting were read and confirmed. A letter was read from Mr Cotter regretting his unavoidable absence. A letter was received from the Hospital Committee asking for a refund of rates. Granted. The overdraft at Bank was reported aa £7l 4s ; rates collected, £31135. Accounts were passed for payment amount* ing to £42 Is 7d. The Overseer's report was read. It was resolved that tha Overseer get the piles driven first favorable opportunity. The return asked for last meeting was laid on the table. The Clerk was instructed to make application to the Featberston Boad Board, also to Mr Buchanan and Mr Fuller for the amounts promised by them for works done. And also to state that the Board intends to pot in other works to protect the same point at the Board’s own expense.
