DAYLIGHT SAVING
ATTITUDE OF FARMERS’ UNION. (By Telegraph. Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Friday. The executive of the Farmers’ Union is entirely opposed to daylight saving and the “Post’s” report, published yesterday, creates a complete misappehension of the position. It was the fear of the bill’s suceess another time that brought the discussion up at the executive’s meeting, and the propose!! propaganda is with a view of getting in early and preventing the success of the measure through the farmers being caught napping. The executive’s attitude is that the measure is purely in the iri : tdrests of the city populations. It was stated at the meeting that Home farmers, from their experience of daylight saving strongly advise New Zealand farmers to have nothing ' to do with st.
