A CORONER’S REBUKE
INQUEST AT TAUMARUNUI. (By Telegraph. Press Association.) TAUMARUNUI, Friday.', At the Inquest of William .John Baer, aged 19, who was found dead at Mokauiti with a rifle alongside his body, a verdict was 'returned that deceased met fiis death through a gunwound in the chest. The coroneer told Peter Baer, father of the deceased, who had not reported bis son’s disappearance, that it was his duty to have instituted a search for the missing hoy. He,did 1 not think, he had acted rightly in not reporting the matter 'to the police, • The father said that hd s son had gone away on previous occasions and had always returned.
