The late fee letter box has now been moved to the railway station platform. This will prove of general convenience. The monthly meeting of the Otorohanda County Council will be held to-morrowy (Wednesday), when routine and other important business will be transacted. The Otorohanga Bowling Club’s annual meeting wall be held at the Town Hall this week, when the election of officers for the coming year will take place. The club has had a very satisfactory year and the secretary’s report will prove interesting. Both old and young about the town and district are suffering from attacks of severe colds, and some are laid up With mild influenza. The school attendance has diminished by about 30 pupils, but it is hoped it will not be found necessary to close the schools.
The junior football match, Otorohanga v. Otewa. played here on Saturday last, resulted in a win for the former by six to nil. Hangataki v. Huia was an easy win for Hangataki with a score of 23 to 6. v The rep. football match Ohura, v. Maniapoto was played at Ohura on Saturday, and resulted in a win for , Maniapoto by 8 to 3. U
