NOXIOUS WEEDS
SUGGESTED 'FORMATION OF BOARD. A letter has been received by the Waikato sub-provincial branch of the New Zealand Farmers’ Union from the Cambridge branch asking if to support a resolution passed by the latter body, “That the necessary Act be passed to enable an area to form a board to deal with noxious weedls with 'the same powers as a rabbit board, and further .that an existing rabbit board may add to its duties the lelimination of noxious weeds within its area.”
The Cambridge branch considered the scheme was, undoubtedly the most efficient method .of. dealing with the weeds, which threatened to ruin tracts of country in the Waikato and other parts of New Zealand.
ft was resolved to give support to the Cambridge branch in the. matter.
