An experiment made by the Bu'ller dairy factory in the curing of bacon has turned out very satisfactorily. Up to date 310 pigs have been cured (says an exchange). This method of handling the pigs is said 'to have tightened the market on the West Coast in the interest of breeders, who formerly were able to command only a very small price. For bacon they have received double, and more than they could obtain for selling the pigs for pork.
