Notice has been given in the House of the introduction of many private members’ Bills. Mr J. McCombs desires to introduce the Shops and Offices Amendment Bill; Mr P. Fraser, Hotel and Restaurant and Private Hotel and Boarding-house Employees’ Six-days-a-week Bill; Mr L. M. Isitt, Christchurch District Drainage Act Amendment Bill; Mr W. E. Parry, Mining Act Amendment Bill; Dr A. K. Newman, Temporary Employees Bill; Mr M. J. Savage, Industrial Conciliation and Arbitration Act Amendment Bill; Mr T. K. Sidey, Ocean Beach Public Domain Act Amendment Bill; Mr W. A. Veitch, Dominion State Bank Bill; Mr E. J. Howard, Workers’ Compensation Act Amendment Bill; Mr F. N. Bartram. Master and Apprentices Act Amendment Bill; Mr H. E. Holland, Coal Mines Amendment Bill; Mr D. G. Sullivan, Factories Act Amendment Bill. Mr Holland is asking for a return of the number of military officers now in the Defence Department, together with the rank and salary of each.
