At the Pahiatua races yesterday Juggle won the Mangahao Handicap, after withstanding challenges from Full Mark and Grand Laku. Souchong, who had to be content with second position in a two-horse race on Wednesday; re-established himself in the Electric Handicap yesterday, winning by a length from Aston and Sir Pombal. The totalisator turnover for the meeting amounted to £7720 10s, a decrease of £1240 10s as compared with last year, but as the club budgeted on a £7OOO turnover the meeting should show a slight profit. Mr W. R. Kemball had three wins with his horses Greenhorn, Staghorn, and Chief Mark at the Moonee Valley races yesterday. Grumpy has been rehandicapped at 9.7 for the Hatuma Hack at the Waipukurau meeting, and Speed at 8.5 in the Flying. Juggle has been rehandicapped at 11.1 for the Kawa Kawa Handicap at the Feilding meeting. Rebel Song is favorite in the south for both the Great Easter and the Great Autumn. His leg is remaining sound. Gay Crest, according to a southern report, is looking remarkably well, and his track work shows that it is not all surface gloss. ' The Southland steeplechaser, Squatter, is reported to be amiss. At his only starts last season he won the Great Western and Autumn Steeplechases at the Riverton Easter meeting. The Taranaki gelding Aga Khan, after proving expensive to his admirers more than once early in the season, has struck his best form lately. He is being talked of as worth following whenever he may race at Easter. Ganpat made a promising start as a hurdler at Stratford. He was stopping badly at the finish, but it is understood he had not been given a great deal of solid work for a few days previously owing to a slightly poisoned leg. Ganpat has much more pace than the average jumper, and as he has shown ability to jump he looks like turning out a useful performer over hurdles.
