NORSEWOOD.

The adjourned meeting of the Norsewood Road Board was held on Saturday night. The following members being present:—Messrs Nordbye (chair), Ljungqvist, Pedersen, and Muller.—The minutes of last meeting were read and confirmed on the motion of Messrs Muller and Pedersen.—Mr Ljungqvist moved, and Mr Pedersen seconded, that the Overseer he instructed to lay out France’s road in small contracts, and that tenders be called for same, so that everything may be in readiness for the work to proceed when the loan is obtained. Carried.—Tenders for contract on Dahl’s road : C. Christoffersen £6 per chain for formation and £1 58 per chain for metalling. As this amount was considerably above the estimate, it "was resolved to call for fresh tenders for this work, returnable for next next meeting.—Accounts amounting to £4l 5s 5d was passed for payment on the motion of Messrs Ljungqvist and Pedersen.
We are having rather unsettled and unfavourable weather for grass-seed operations. Hitherto no damage has been done but should the wet weather continue for a lengthened period it will materially effect the results of the harvest.
