Buses to Go Back to Old Route
DECISION OF COUNCIL
STOPS AT TOWN HALL The borough council at its meeting on Wednesday night decided unanimously that the Blue Bus route be changed back to the old order—via Victoria Street—and that stopping place be at the Town Hall as in the past. The matter was raised following a letter from the Chamber of Commerce stating that at a special meeting of the executive it was decided to make a further request for the
buses to revert to the original routes
along, Victoria Street, and that the matter of stops be held in obeyance. Mr S. Lewis stated that the' question had been well discussed previously. At its last meeting, the Council had expressed no objection to the Victoria' Street route, but was not prepared to allow stopping places, as had been suggested.
There was no further discussion and on the motion of Messrs T. Cummings and A. Willis it was decided to go back to the old route, both in;ward and outward, with stops at the Town Hall.
