Keen Interest in Local Cricket
THE CAMBRIDGE CLUB PREPARATIONS FOR NEW SEASON V The annual meeting of the Cambridge Cricket Club was held in the Farmers’ Board Room on Tuesday evening, when Mr W. R. Garrard presided over a fair attendance. The club experienced a successful season last year, the senior team showing vastly improved form. The senior “B” team had emerged as runners up in the Hamilton Competition. Expenditure exceeded income by £2l, the season having been one of heavy financial commitmentes. Cash on hand totalled £2O.

Munroe; selectors, Messrs R. Burton M. Woolley and captains of A and B teams; gear custodian, R. A. Hughes, management committee, Messrs W. R. Garrard, R. Burton, W. Munroe, D. Allen, R. Hughes and R. Paton; transport committee, Messrs R. Keeley, L. Broderson, D. Allen, I. Litchwark; delegates to Waikato Association, Messrs W. R. Garrard and W. Munroe. • 1 In view of the extra expense involved in maintaining the new turf wicket, subscriptions were increased They are: Seniors £2/10/- (reduceable to £2); juniors under 18) 25/- (reduceable to 20/-); schoolboys 12/6 (redueable to 10/-). ’ . It was decided to affiliate with the Waikato Association and to continue to play in its competitions. General matters were discussed, particularly in connection with their preparation of the new turf wicket.
