INDEPENDENT’S NEW FEATURE WHAT BRITAIN IS DOING Ever since the outbreak of war, The Waikato Independent has endeavoured to supplement the day-by-day news from overseas with. the featured articles “Behind the Headlines in the War News.’- 1 The paper is now going a stage further and from time to time will publish pictures of interesting aspects of the war. The first of the series appears on Page 3 of this issue. These pictures are exclusive to The Independent in the Cambridge district, and are published immediately on the arrival of overseas mails. This latter factor may result in them appearing with some irregularity. The illustrations are obtained from the. British Ministry of Information, and judging by the first of the series published today, they should continue to be studied with interest.
