THE CAMBRIDGE SALE FULL YARDING OF CATTLE The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co. Ltd. report on the Cambridge sale yesterday: Pigs: There was a full yarding of both stores and fats. The latter sold under keen competition and- a total clearance was effected with prices on a par with last week’s Frankton sale. Medium baconers made to £3 18/-; light to-£3 12/-; heavy porkers to £3 0/-; lighter £2 to £2 10/-; choppers £2 10/- to £3 12/-. Stores: The bidding for these was not so keen, but practically everything sold and good stores brought up to 35/-; slips 18/- to 23/-; weaners 7/- to 12/6. Sheep: A good yarding of ail classes came forward and a total clearance was made. Fat wethers made from 23/7 to 25/8; fat lambs £1 3/- to £1 6/-; store lambs 15/1 to 17/-. Cattle: A full yarding in all departments, with a good proportion of good quality cattle. The market throughout was brisk and recent rates were well maintained. Prime fat Holstein cows £8 6/- .to £9 5/-;
good fat cows £5 12/6 to £7 2/6; medium £3 15/- to sgns; good boners £3 5/- to £4 10/-; others £2 to £3. A medium yarding of store cattle came forward, including pens of S.H. steers and weaner Jersey heifers. Yearling S.H. steers to £6 2/6; yearling S.H. heifers to £3 17/-; weaner Jersey heifers £3 to £3 4/-; in-calf heifers from £5 10/- to £B. Bulls: A medium yarding of bulls, medium weight from £6 to £7 10/-; others £3 to £5 15/-.
