CAMBRIDGE TROTS

ACCEPTANCES FOR SATURDAY

EXCELLENT FIELDS ENGAGED

High-class racing will be : provided at the Cambridge Trotting Club's annual-meeting on Saturday, judging by the excellent acceptances received for the first day. Entries are a record totalling 102, compared with 86 on the same day last year. The Cambridge Club, has gained much popularity, in the last three years, due in no small measure to the energy of the secretary, Mr T. H. Hampshire, and the sound judgment of the committee. This year the club has given a lead by loosening the class in the main races with satisfactory results and it will be noted that other clubs are now following suit. There will be short intervals between the races, the first event commencing at noon and the seventh at 3.35 p.m. Every effort will be made to run the meeting up to time.
