OPENING TO-MORROW PEOPLE ’S DAY ON THURSDAY With outstanding entries the prospects for this year’s show, to be helu to-morrow and Thursday are most encouraging and it only needs tine weather to ensure tlie success-of this year’s fix tu re. The show executive and friends have been particularly busy on the grounds during the past few days and the final working bee is being held to-day. Arrangements are being made to cater tor a large attendance this yea-. Admission charges and other details are advertised on Page .1 of this issue. The Mayor, in an advertisement, invites the.business people to close their premises fit .12 noon on Thursday (People’s Day). A special bank holiday froni noon will also be observed on Thursday. Catalogue of Exhibits The official catalogues, containing all classes, entries, time table and other details, printed at the "Independent” office, arc now available. The fiftypage, book is well worth the- shilling charged and it contains information that will make the progress of the show much more interesting for patrons. Full details of the two trotting races are included for the first time this year and this will greatly add to the value of the catalogue. Kennel Club Parade Excellent entries have been received for all classes in the Cambridge Kennel Club’s ribbon parade to bo held on the second day of the show. Exhibitors are reminded that dogs must be on the ground by 1 p.m. on Thursday. The judging will be done by Mr Nor man "Wade, of Auckland.
