MR H. P. DARBY LEAVING APPOINTMENT AT WHAKATANE Mr H. P. Darby, who lias been manager of the Town Hall Talkies for the past 12 months, has severed his connection with Amalgamated Theatres, Ltd.', and with liis wife and family will leave during the ..week-end. for Whalcat.ane where he has been appointed manager of the Regent Theatre, under the direction of Mr R. J. Kerri dge. Although only in Cambridge for a short time, Mr Darby proved himself an efficient and popular manager, and both he and Mrs Darby will carry with them the best wishes of a host of Cambridge friends. The appointment of a new manager to Cambridge has as yet not been announced from Auckland.
