SPECIAL HORSE FAIR

OFFERING AT CAMBRIDGE TOP PRICE OF SALE, £sl 10/-. To keep up with the continued steady demand for good utility farm horses, the Farmers’ Co-operative Auctioneering Company Ltd. conducted a special fair at Cambridge on Tuesday ’and again yesterday. Unfortunately, heavy rain fell each day, which affected the attendance and reflected on the demand. The quality of the animals offered was for the most part nqt up to the standard of previous offerings, and did not fully meet with the requirements •of buyers, and many were passed in. However, the better sorts wore in keen demand and sold at late rates. Mr E. A. Duncan again offered a fine consignment and secured the top price of tho sale with a five-year bay gelding sold to the Waipa County Council for £sl 10/-. A lot of five draughts from the same vendor averaged the good price of £45 12/-. Yesterday the sale was not so brisk, when lesser sorts were offered. The top price was £4O 10/- for a six-year creamy gelding sold on account of Mr J. Little, of Papakura, to Mr J. W. Anderson, of Tirau. On behalf of T.
