! THE CAMBRIDGE CLUB MEETING OF EXECUTIVE A mooting of the executive committee of tho Cambridge Bowling Club was held on Tuesday evening when there were present Dr H. C. Tod (president), Messrs Edwin James, E. C. Wallis, F. M. Oliver, C. Waghorne, D. J. Lundon and F. R. Wooldridge (secretary). It was reported that the finances of the club were fqirly satisfactory, considering the additional expenditure that had been entailed this yeaf witi the purchase of an electric mower. Mr UrCn, who was a visitor to Canv bridge recently, wrote expressing the opinion that there was no club where he received such courtesy and enjoyment as Cambridge and offered to donate two tankards for a pairs competition. ! There were present Messrs E. G. Martyn (chairman), W. Ik Edwards, C. Waghornc, F. M. Oliver and J. Linsley (secretary). Mr F. R. Wooldridge was also present (exofficio). It was agreed that the prospects were bright for a very successful opening on Saturday evening. The Power Board has offered to erect coloured lights around the green and to make a donation of the electricity. An electric pick-up at the pavilion will provide music. Tea and light refreshments will be provided in the pavilion for visitors, and members are asked to bring a basket.
