NEW CHAIRMAN

LEAMINGTON TOWN BOARD MR FRED MACK APPOINTED At the September meeting of the Leamington Town Board on Tuesday tho appointment of a chairman resulted in Mr F. Mack being elected to office. In moving, the nomination Mr H. Brock said that Mr Mack was the oldest member of tho board and was well versed in all Leamington affairs. Mr Kelly seconded the motion, which >vas supported by all members of the board. In accepting the position, Mr Ma;k said lie would be pleased to act so long fas his health permitted. He .Toped the business of the board would be carried out harmoniously.

Mr Mack has served continuously on the board since his election to office in September, 1920. He came to Leamington thirty years ago and has . been farming and contracting there ever since. Mr Mack has marked tho growth and progress of the district in all of that time.

Mr Mack had previously been offered the chairmanship, but up till now has refused to accept the position. He is now automatically also chairman of the Leamington Domain Board.

Mr Mack has only recently recovered from a serious illness and in congratulating him on his appointment, his friends will hope that his health will steadily improve.
