MORRINSVILLE BOROUGH
RESULTS OF REVALUATION. UNIMPROVED DROPS DOWN. As a Tesult of the revaluation of the borough of Morrinsvillo this year the unimproved value of the borough has been reduced to £122,491. as compared with £223,890 in 1926, when the previous general revaluation was made. This is a reduction of £101,399, or 45 per cent. As rates are levied on the unimproved value, the council has been obliged to strike a higher rate to raiso about the same amount of revenue from a smaller total rateaolo value. The value of improvements in the borough is now set down as £328.105, an increase of £7347 over the total for 1920. This increase is due to a fair amount or new buildings erected during the past seven years. The capital value of property on which rates are payable is now £450,656, as compared with £544,708 in 1926, a decrease of £94,052, due to the big drop in the unimproved value.
