GOLF RESULTS

THE CAMBRIDGE CLUB. ONE-CLUB MATCH PLAYED. On Saturday a one-club match was played over IS holes at the Cambridge golf links, the winner being D. E. Creed with a not score of 80. ’ R. Morrison was second with S2; R. Ireland was third with 85, and J. Giles 'fourth with 86. AH four were playing 'on a 26 handicap. THE BLYDE CUP. WON BY ROTORUA. CAMBRIDGE IN FOURTH POSITION. The competition for the Edwin Blvde Cup took place at the Rotorua golf links on Saturday and was played under ideal conditions. The total number of teams entered was nine as against 14 last year when the conipot’ tion was played at the St. Andrews links, Hamilton. Rotorua won the cup by a margin of eight points over Hamilton a T >< Ngaruawahia who tied for second place, Cambridge being in fourth position. Each club was represented by a senior and a junior, man and lady, each of whom plays a medal round in the morning and in the afternoon the 106 ies are partnered in one foursome and the men in another. The best total score of the six rounds decides the winner of the cup.

Rotorua won with a total of 553 and Hamilton and Ngaruawahia were equal with 561. Morrinsville was third, 587, and Cambridge results were: Cambridge. —Senior man 92, junior man 88, senior lady 108, junior lady 108; men 92; ladies 104. Total 592. Other contesting teams were: Rocky Downs 596; Putaruru 601; Walton 604. The Cambridge representatives were: Men—C. Dunbar and C. R. Haworth. Ladies —Mrs V. H. Nolan and Miss D. Nolan. THE FENCOURT CLUB. SATURDAY’S RESULTS. The following were the best cards returned for the final qualifying round for club championships at Fencourt: Ladies: Miss J. Fcisst, 63; Miss M.
