THE TUI CUP
MAORI FOOTBALL COMPETITION MATAMATA TOO GOOD FOR MAUNGATAUTARI. The Tui Cup competition for native football teams was continued on Thursday last at Matamata when the local representatives defeated the Maungatautari team by 34 points to 3. The homo team was superior in all departments. For the winners tries were scoi’ed by K. Wilson (2), B. Wharawliara (2), Percy Wilson, H. Tuwhakaraina, T. Tuwhakaraina, M. Ivamao, J. Johnson and J. Kaukau. K. Wilson and T. Rawiri converted tries. R. Tairi scored for the losers.
