PRINCE OF WALES.
VISITS NORTHERN HOSPITAL. WITNESSES NEW CANCER TREATMENT. Australian and N.Z. Press Association LONDON, Yesterday. The Prince of Wales while visiting the Royal Northern Hospital at Holloway watched patients undergoing the new fluorescent ray cancer treatment, the principles of which Dr Galdesborough afterwards explained. He told the Prince he was convinced the treatment, which he originated only four years ago, had immense possibilities and was now being tried in Australia, India and Canada. ”What about radium?” ashed the Prince, who was surprised when told it was no longer so popular with doctors. In the X-ray department the Prince saw bones of his own hands, also a nurse’s heart beating behind the fluorescent X-ray screen.
