PAINFUL ACCIDENT
CYCLIST RUNS INTO BANK. CUT ABOUT THE FACE. Early yesterday morning while proceeding to' work beyond Hamilton on his motor cycle, a , young man,- named Eric Filleul, whose parents reside on the Hamilton Road, sustained a painful injury to his' face, when- his cycle collided with a bank in the Tamahere Gully cutting. It was misty at the. time and in endeavouring to pass a motor car the cyclist went too close to the edge of the road, with the result that his cycle skidded into the bank. Mr Filleul was wearing goggles, and the smashing of the glass inflected a nasty cut just below the eye. Tho injured cyclist was brought into Cambridge and received medical attention, the wound requiring several stitches.
