The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., report as follows on their yesterday’s sale:—
Wo held our tri-weekly sale at the Cambridge yards yesterday. The yarding of cattle was good, while other classes w~ere medium to fair.. Buyers were not present in great numbers, due to the counter-attractions. We quote
prices as follows: — Cattle: Fat cows £8 4/- to £9 10/-; lighter do. £7 5/- to £8; stores £5 5/- to £7; calves (weaners) 39/- to £2. Dairy cows averaged £B.
Sheep: Fat ewes 17/2 to 17/10; lighter'ewes 12/- to 15/3; good lambs 15/6 to 27/6; lighter lambs 8/5 to 10/. Pigs: Good baconers £2 11/- to £2 13/-; lighter do. 35/- to £2 6/6; weaners 18/6 to 25/6; slips 12/6 to 17/-. *.
