! OAR AND LORRY. ACCIDENT ON HAMILTON-CAM-BRIDGE ROAD. Shortly after eight o'clock on Saturday evening an accident occurred on the Hamilton-Cambridge Road near the Tamahere store, when a three-scater motor-car owned and driven by Mr, Frank Slinger, of Cambridge, collided with a motor-lorry, owned by Mr J. A. Clark, of Hamilton, and driven by Mr George Williams..". The car was travelling to Cambridge \vhen the collision took place, the impact being a most severe one, but fortunately the four occupants of the car and the driver of the lorry escaped without injury. The car was extensively damaged, the running board and body-work being broken in, while one wheel was torn off. The chassis of the lorry was twisted and the engine knocked out of position. The local police were notified of the accident and they went out to the scene. ACCIDENT ON TE AROHA ROAD. THREE MEN INJURED. CAMBRIDGE, MOTORIST CONCERNED. Two men were seriously injured and a third was slightly injured on Saturday evening in a collision between cars owned and driven by Messrs W. Munroe, parage proprietor, of Cambridge, and Walter Hanner, motor mechanic, of Waihi. The other two injured men in the latter's- car were Cliff Broadfoot and Jack Hicks, of Waihi. The collision occurred a few-sites on the Paeroa side of Morrinsville, about 7.45 p.m. Mr M'unroe was retarm i<? to Cambridge from Waihi, white the other party were returning from thf> Waikato trots. In addition to the two injured men ,there were five others in Tanner's car. The cars met at a bend of the read, where the view is obstructed by growth. Broadfoot and Hicks : were picked up in an unconscious condition. Dr Craig was summoned and the injured were attended. Broadfoot was the most seriously injured, while Hicks had a deep gash in his head. Both men were.taken to the Waihi hospital. Mr Tanner had his right arm injured. Fortunately Mr Munroe was not driving fast at the time, but as it happened he had a narrow escape. Both cars were damaged, Mr Tanner's car faring the worst.
