OBITUARY
MR DAVID CORMACK .
The death occurred at Auckland on Sunday of Mr David Cormack, an old colonist of over fifty years’ standing. Deceased, who was born in Scotland 77 years ago, came to New Zealand at the age of 20, and started in general business on the Otago goldfields, settling at Roxburgh, where he remained for 35 years. He then went to the Klondyko gold rush but remained there only one year, when he returned to New Zealand and settled in the North Island. Mr Cormack always interested himself in politics, being a staunch Liberal. He leaves a widow, three sons and three daughters, viz., Messrs J. Cormack, Dunedin; W. E. Cormack, Auckland; J. Cormack, Iv.C., Edmonton, Canada; Mrs E. A. Hart, Cambridge; Mrs D. M. Bourke, Pukerimu, and Mrs A. G. McLean, Auckland.
