MAGISTRATE'S STRONG COMMENTS. <By Telegraph—Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, this day. "After long succession of licensing cases." said Mr Mosley, S.M., in the Magistrate's Court yesterday, "I am inclined to think they are permeated with perjury and lying of all kinds. I am not a prohibitionist, but that is the experience of the Court. Why should it be? It is not a dishonourable trade, as far as I can see personally. It is allowed by the law of the country, and why should it be permeated with perjury? There seems to be something lacking. I hope tha't when the legislature takes on the amendment of the Licensing Act it will amend the Act to some purpose dealing with the ease under notice."
