INDEPENDENT TOWN DISTRICT ' J RESULT OF CENSUS A census, just completed, shows that the Leamington ±own district —including Flat Park, jfrkich has just been legally added io the town district area —has a total/ population of 615. This entitles the/district to have a Town Board independent of County Council coutrol-4-at present the district is controlled lly both Town Board and Waipa County Council —and steps are now being taken to secure an independent Board. «

It is interesting to note that the population of Leamington, at the census of last year, was 465, so that, allowing for the residents of Flat Park, now included, the population shows a steady increase. ■ ■*>.>* ?
