THE DEADLY MINES. WASHED ASHORE ON ITALIAN COAST. Received 12.20 a.m., 2nd. Rome, September 30. A gale washed an Austrian mine on to the Italian coast, where it blew up an Italian trawler and killed nine men. Received 8.45 am., 2nd. Rome, October 1. Italy has protested to Vienna against Austria placing mines in the Adriatic. A hundred have been picked up.
