WAIKATO CALEDONIAN SOCIETY
The claims of the lival t'ni'n> in regard t > theC ash AthldicVquistion were considered last night by the Executive Committee of ihe Caledonian Society, at a meeting held at Frankton. Mr Geo. Watt, presidi in, was -n the c ha r, and the other members pre -cut were Messrs F B. Jolly, VV. Hender-on, T Johnstone, earroil, Glasgow, Castleton, Clsillier, Mackenzie-Forbes, an j J). McKinnon, secretary. Mr Woodlcigh, secretary of the Auckland Centre of the new union, was present and addressed the committee on lines similar to those followed by Mr Trinnear at the meeting of the Society last week. Il was moved and seconded that the decision as to which body the Society should affiliate with be postponed till after the Labour Day sports meetings. An amendment was also moved and seconded that a decision be made now. On a vote the motion for postponement was carried.
