A match was played on the St. Andrew's courts on Saturday last between the Whatawhata and St. Andrew's Clubs, resulting in a win for the home team by 7 matches to 1, or 76 games to 46. Owing to St. Andrew's being shorthanded, Mears and Paultridge each played 3 matches. The following are the results of the various matches: — Mrs Adams and Miss Gillett, St. A., beat Misses Parker, 7—5. Misses Henderson and L. Pearson, St. A., beat Misses Bruce, 7—2. Mrs Adams and James, St. A., beat Miss Parker and Jollie, 9—l. Miss E. Parker and Calder, W., beat Miss Gillett and Mears, 9—6. Miss Henderson and Paultridge, St. A., beat Miss Bruce and Davis, 9—3. Miss L. Pearson and Paultridge, St. A., beat Miss Bruce and Vickers, 9-0. James and Mears, St. A., beat Jollie and Calder, 6—3, 6—3. Mears and Paultridge, St. A., beat Vickers and Davis, 5—6, 6—3, 6—4.
