RANGIAOHIA ROAD BOARD
The usual monthly meetiug of the above was held on Saturday last. There were present: -Messrs Thos. Holdeu, Geo. McKiuder, Ed. Dunne, R. Kay, and the Board's supervisor, Mr W. H. Mandeno. In the absence of the Chairman Mr McKinder was voted to the chair.
Furze.—An opinion was read from the Boards solicitor, Mr A. Swarbrick, re furze, etc., growing on the roads abutting different properties in the district.—lt «vas resolved that the clerk be instructed to communicate- further with the Board's solicitor before taking proceedings. Closing Road.—Mr W. Alexander wrote applying to have a road adjoining his property <doseri.—lt was decided to inform Mr Alexander that he could feuce in the road and erect a cate at each end, provided Mr A. V. McDonald had no objection. Road Inspection.—The Board haviug inspected the roads throughout the district as arranged at the last meeting, it was decided to have the following works done :—Boekett's Hill: It war decided to call for tenders for cutting down this hill, returnable next meeting. Sundry works: The Supervisor was authorized to have some repairs done near Messrs Holden's and Tippett's farms and Anderson's pine trees. Also to call tenders for cutting near Tippett's. Te Rahu Road: It was resolved to have about 20 chains of rounding up done on this road, and also to have the necessary repairs done to Jones' road and at the log bridge. Kihikibi Road: It was decided to call tenders for about 20 chains of formation near Armstrong's. Tenders to be returnable next meeting, ftgaroto Road : The Supervisor was authorised to have the watertables attended to and some sanding done. Accounts. The following accounts were passed for payment:—T. Jamieson, £9; Waikato Akgus, £1 2s 6d; Te Awamutu Town Board, £2; Souter and Co., 13s 7d ; Clerk, £l3; Supervisor, £8 15s.
