London, June 26. 'Thf. -Glasgow Chamber (ft Commerce ' has unanimously adopted a resolution welcoming the fiscal inquiry with the view of drawing the commercial relations of the Empiie closer. , The Manchester Chamber ol Commerce has expressed its willingness to assist the inquiry, believing it will prove that any departure from freetrade will be prejudicial. The conference of members of the House of Commons interested in the iron and steel industries, engineering and electricty, has appointed a committee to arouse public attention to the unfair and illegitimate competition arising fiom hostile tariffs and trusts.
